Commonplace Books

Picture
People of the 18th. and 19th. centuries often needed to remember bits of information, whether it was what Father said about planting times, Mother's recipes, a record of expenses, or a good story or song.  Homemade books like these, called "commonplace books," were just right for recording those everyday things someone wanted to remember.

These commonplace books are made of rag content paper with a choice of linen, paper Scherenschnitte, or plain card stock covers, and all are bound with simple hand stitching.  Each contains 16 pages.  A must-have for reenactors and perfect for any site!
